"The work of a project like Bor Land is of incalculable value to the Portuguese music scene, for incarnating the most coherent editorial universe, assuring the release of some of the most consensual and celebrated names of the national vanguard. We can say there's a sort of erudition in the aesthetic path followed by the artists of this label, a superior way of facing the so called popular music, finding charismatic spaces for it, places of their own, where each signature will stand out for everything it bears of unique, original and intelligently exquisite. It's certainly not a shed for disparate efforts that are more often than not intended as "ego supports"; it is, clearly, a house for new artists that accuse an already enviable maturity, in which, believing the specialized media, we can spot a good share of today's more reliable artists, slowly moving towards a popular acclaim that no doubt will come sooner or later. Musicians will certainly be the ones most likely to recognize this effort, an availability typical of those who are running after a dream more than merely seeking a way to make a living. Today's presence in Bor Land's roster of some of the most distinguished names of our musical milieu justifies our claim. It's important to understand that we're not talking about a roll of musicians who act as substitutes for others, intending to resemble or copy them. These artists work their own format, one that, as all things approaching the ideals of difference, generates a surprise recognizable in the inelastic bewilderment of the mass audiences. Facing the unknown, the masses find it strange, they don't marvel in its qualities, as some fantastic tales and dreamy pictures lead us to believe."
